This is an obvious example of American public relations (propaganda) distorting facts, using the 'fourth branch of the government" (the media) to muster, persuade, and slant public opinion and public knowledge. The bias and one sided broadcasting of information is discussed in the documentary. This film is also an excellent bridge to the Iran-Contra 'CIA drug running,' the Persian Gulf War and America's foreign policies. Panama is not the only nation abused by the American Empire's policies... do the research if you really want to know what kind of nation you are supporting and the kind of nation you are being identified with. There is a reason why a large majority of the world hates America. But to the rest of the world... Propaganda and mis/disinformation campaigns coupled with illogical educational practices and materials in the federally funded school systems, reinforced with mass media's entanglement of socialization, strip and rob the people of the familial transmission of social standards and cultural knowledge. It could be argued that the US carefully teaches its young students what to think and not how to think through illogical testing practices, questionable teaching materials, and the students age relevant to the materials/subject being taught, in public schools (federally funded schools). Because Americans have been let down and miseducated by their country, a large majority of parents do not teach their children to vote or to be politically aware and active ...
